Cardboard Series

Since the pandemic cardboard has been on my mind. With the explosion of online shopping, home deliveries, and emphasis on packaging I see discarded boxes everywhere. To help lessen the impact of cardboard on the environment I often use it in my collaging practice. I look for ways to highlight and transform the cardboard’s special characteristics like lettering, shipping stickers, and color. Materials like paint, rope, metal fasteners, and preprinted glossy paper are also incorporated.
