Part I: Spotlight on three local artists and craftspeople selling their wares online.

If you're not yet familiar with, count yourself among those missing out. The Brooklyn-based handmade and vintage marketplace has taken off in popularity since its founding in 2005. Etsy has thousands of sellers from over 150 countries, but one if its coolest features is the ability to find artisans in your own community.

A search of Bronxville, Tuckahoe, and Eastchester via Etsy's "Shop Local" tool found a handful of area artisans and vintage sellers who offer some great one-of-a-kind products to round out your holiday shopping list.

Native American Celebration

The Tuckahoe Library will be holding a Native American celebration starting at 1pm on Saturday November 6th.

From 2pm - 3pm I will be teaching children how to make pinch pots and coil pots. Children will be decorating the pinch pots with Native American symbols and motifs.
